Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police took cognisance and registered a Suo Motu case against the organisers of the song release event, after actress Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed while leaving the event on Wednesday, December 17.
Nidhhi Agerwal and makers of the Prabhas starrer 'Raja Saab' participated in a promotional event for the song 'Sahana Sahana', when the incident took place. The actress was mobbed while leaving the premises of the mall, with fans crowding her in an attempt to take selfies. Videos of the incident went viral, in which the actress was visibly distressed and uncomfortable while moving through the crowd. Security personnel were seen escorting her to the car.
No permit obtained for event at the mall:
The police said that a suo motu case has been registered over this incident. SHO Rajasekhar Reddy stated that the mall and the event organizers had not obtained permission.
Cases have been booked under relevant sections of the BNS, and notices will be issued, the police said.
