Cold wave has gripped Hyderabad as temperatures continue to plummet in parts of the city.
University of Hyderabad in Serilingampally has recorded the lowest temperature of the season so far, with 6.3°C, followed by Moula Ali (7.1°C), Rajendranagar (7.7°C), Sivarampalle (8.8°C). Alwal, Gachibowli also recorded about 9°C, as per Telangana Development Planning Society data.
Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C over the next 2 days, IMD Hyderabad said. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30°C to 12°C respectively. Surface winds are likely to be northerlies/north-easterlies with wind speed of about 4-6 kmph.

Meanwhile, a strong cold wave was also seen in several districts of Telangana including in Adilabad, Komarambheem Asifabad among others.
