New Delhi: A TV journalist was allegedly stalked by two men on a scooter in Uttar Pradesh's Noida till the DND Flyway. Following the incident, the police arrested an individual and is currently being interrogated.
The woman, who is a resident of South Delhi's Vasant Kunj, claimed that the two men started following her after she left her workplace.
The two men allegedly directed her to stop, and when she didn’t, they continued to chase her. Unable to control their rage, they threw a heavy object at the car, breaking the rear window.
The woman continued to drive and fortunately approached a group of cab drivers in South East Delhi, whom she sought help. She then parked her car and phoned the police. The police subsequently reached the spot and took her statement.
The police had lodged a complaint against the two accused on charges of stalking and various other sections.“After scanning the CCTV footage of the area, it was found that the incident took place in Noida. One of the two men has been arrested from his residence late morning on Friday, and he is being interrogated,” an officer said.
The accused claimed that they were chasing her after she allegedly hit their scooter. However, their claims are being verified, the officer added.
