New Delhi: A Vande Bharat passenger's behaviour sparked a discussion on social media. It featured a traveller who spat on the train floor and seat. The incident was brought to light by another passenger. The annoyed passenger narrated the incident on Reddit.

In his post, the Redditor stated that he was travelling via the Vande Bharat Express from New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP) to Howrah. It was then that a seemingly intoxicated man got into the train. The careless man spat on the train floor and even on the seat next to him. The Redditor was annoyed and confronted the passenger. “This man boarded the train as though it were his home. He appeared to be under the influence," said the Redditor.

He added, "When I confronted him, he ignored me. Later, when he was about to spit again, I told him not to. To my shock, he spat on the seat next to him instead. Even when the Railways perform well, people like this make the experience worse." The Redditor also shared pictures of the rude man.

Netizens were quick to react to the pictures. Once again, they spoke of the lack of civil sense in India. Some said it was the citizens who were challenging progress with their lack of civility.

“This is true. It happened to me in a shared cab. A woman was removing her makeup and throwing tissues on the floor. When I called her out, she said it was none of my business as she had paid for the ride," shared one woman.

Other Redditors urged netizens to take resposibility.

Others wondered what would change the mindsets of the population. Meanwhile, some were miffed with  content creator for filming the man with consent.  One individual commented, "Taking photos of people without their consent is more a lack of common sense than someone resting their feet on a seat,” a user pointed out."
