Islamabad: In yet another major admission of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in India, a Pakistani leader has spoken on how terrorist groups of his country carried out terror attacks from forests in Jammu and Kashmir to Red Fort recently.

Chaudhry Anwarul Haq’s remarks on Red Fort came days after at least 13 people lost their lives in the deadly terror attack and many were injured. After the attack, the probe was handed over to the NIA, which is currently probing the blast.

Red Fort blast

As per initial probe, Dr Umar Un Nabi, who drove the car that exploded on November 10, seemed to be a member of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, as per News18. Haq’s forest of Kashmir was in reference to the Baisaran Valley in Kashmir. It was in this valley that 26 people were killed by terrorists on April 22 in Pahalgam. The incident led to Operation Sindoor, in which Indian armed forces targeted nine terror camps across Pakistan.

In a video that has gone viral, Haq can be heard saying, “I earlier said that if you keep bleeding Balochistan, we'll hit India from Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By the grace of Allah, we've done it and they're still unable to count bodies."

“Few days later, armed men entered and attacked (Delhi), and they haven't probably counted all the bodies so far," he added further.

It may be noted that Pakistan, on various occasions, blamed India for the unrest in Balochistan. Pakistan repeatedly blamed India for unrest to hide its economic failure in the country and tried to shift attention by encouraging cross-border terrorism against India. New Delhi has, however, time and again rejected Islamabad's claims.

India’s counter with Operation Sindoor

Notably, apart from Operation Sindoor in the aftermath of Pahalgam terror attack, India undertook several other measures against Pakistan as well. These include - suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. New Delhi also sent various delegations of all-party MPs in other countries to explain Pakistan’s role in fuelling terrorism.
