New Delhi: An Indian national residing in Dubai has shared a video on Instagram showing repair of a pot-hole ridden road which was repaired within ours of a complaint being filed with the city road authorities.
The time-lapsed video shows the road was made pothole free within 4 hours. The netizens have now reacted on the video saying it would have taken almost five years in India for the potholes to be repaired before an election.
Instagram video clocked over 49,000 views
The Instagram video shared by Reshab Nagpal o November 2 has so far garnered over 49,000 views on the social media platform. According to the video, the workers of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai could be seen indulging in road repair work.
According to Nagpal, the Dubai road authorities took up road repair work after one of his friends about the damaged road. Nagpal said he was shocked to see workers at the spot with in hours of filing the complaint as they assured that the repair work would be completed by evening. The repair work was completed in real time.
'No traffic issues during repair'
The Instagrammer also stated that there were no traffic issues while the workers carried out repair work. He also said one of the workers was coordinating the traffic for smooth movement of vehicles.
In the video, Nagpal could be heard saying that such a road repair work may take weeks or month at other places. "You know this is why people love Dubai. These workers have arrived here and it will be completed by evening. With all the heavy machinery, this work will be done and dusted soon," Nagpal stated in the video.
The video has attracted wider attention on social media with netizens claiming that such a work would take years in India.
The Dubai RTA has urged people to report any issues of infastructure through various channels inclusing Whatsapp.
