'Will kick Bihar UP migrants...': MNS chief Raj Thackeray warns ahead of BMC polls

MNS chief Raj Thackeray has threatened the migrants from UP and Bihar, living in Maharashtra. Just ahead of the BMC elections, he said that he will kick out the migrants from the state, if they try to impose Hindi in Maharashtra. He said that Mumbai was in "danger" and people of the state, read Marathis must come together to save it. They said that the city was built due to sacrifices of many people and the Marathis must now vow to save it, from migrants who are eating into their resources.

New Delhi: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray had a warning for migrants from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (UP), who live in Maharashtra. He said that they will be kicked out of the state if they tried to impose Hindi. The warning comes just ahead of the BMC polls in Maharashtra.

'Will kick you out': Raj Thackeray tells migrants

Raj Thackeray warned the people of Bihar and UP that they should not try to impose Hindi in Maharashtra. He was quoted as saying, "People from UP and Bihar should understand that Hindi is not your language. I don't hate the language, but if you try to impose it, I will kick you out."

He accused the migrants from other states of coming to Maharashtra and snatching away the shares and opportunities of the locals. He warned the locals of Maharashtra by saying, "If land and language are gone, you will be finished."

Thackeray termed the upcoming BMC polls as "the last election for the Marathi man." He warned that if people missed this opportunity, they would be finished forever. He urged them to unite for Marathi and Maharashtra.

He described the migrant issue as a "crisis" which had arrived at the doorstep of the state (Maharashtra) and urged all the Maharashtrians to unite for the state. He recalled how Mumbai was created due to the sacrifices of so many people. He said that the Maharashtra residents are answerable to them.

He urged the booth level workers appointed by his party to remain alert and vigilant on the polling day. He said, "If anyone comes to vote again, throw them out."

Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS launch joint attack on BJP

On Sunday, both the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the MNS launched a joint attack on the BJP. The two cousins, Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray have come together after years, for the BMC elections. They also held a joint rally at Shivaji Park on Sunday.

Speaking at the rally, both the brothers launched a scathing attack on the BJP and described its ideology as "fake Hindutva." They claimed that they were forced to come together, due to an "imminent danger" to Mumbai.

Uddhav Thackeray said that he and Raj Thackeray have set aside their differences to work for the Marathi manoos, Hindus and Maharashtra. Raj Thackeray seconded his brother and urged the Marathis to vote for them, warning that "this was their last chance" and if they failed to vote for the correct party, then the "battle for Maharashtra will be lost forever."

Uddhav Thackeray also accused the BJP of trying to rename the city to Bombay. He gave the example of Tamil Nadu BJP leader K Annamalai who had made such remarks recently. He also accused the BJP of practicing divisive politics and called their ideology "fake Hindutva". He also accused them of corruption.

The BMC elections are scheduled to be held on January 15, along with 28 other municipal corporations in Maharashtra. The results for the elections will be declared on January 16.
