Woman drives new Thar through Delhi showrooms glass wall on first floor during nimbu ritual

A newly purchased Mahindra Thar, worth over Rs 15 lakh, plummeted from a Delhi showroom's first floor after its owner attempted a good luck ritual. The 29-year-old woman accidentally accelerated, crashing through a glass wall.

New Delhi: In an incident which has baffled many, a new Mahindra Thar, whose value is more than Rs 15 lakh, fell from the showroom's first floor in Nirman Vihar in East Delhi.

But how can a car fall from the showroom? Well, police have said that after buying the car, its owner wanted to perform a ritual on the auspicious occasion, and accidentally drove the new vehicle through the glass wall, causing an accident.

How did the accident take place?

The owner wanted to drive her new car over a lemon for good luck. However, the accident took place when the 29-year-old woman allegedly stepped on the accelerator and crushed the balcony railing, with the car plunging into the ground.

Was anyone injured in the accident?

While the woman had minor injuries, the new Thar that fell 15 feet off the showroom was gravely injured. The accident happened at around 5 pm on Monday. The hospital where the injured woman was taken alerted the police.

The car was bought by the woman and her husband from Nirman Vihar's showroom. During the occurrence of the mishap, the couple and an employee of the showroom were inside the vehicle, and nobody suffered any serious injury.

The video of the incident has become viral. In it, a crowd can be seen gathered around the accident site. The shattered car was lying upside down. An employee could be seen cleaning the glass of the shattered wall of the building's first floor, and there is a gaping hole in the showroom.
