New Delhi: In 30's Your skin begins its subtle transition. You’re still radiant, but signs of aging start peeping through, ever so subtly. Your hormones, stress, sun exposure, and lifestyle start their impact. The bright side: your skin can remain young, healthy, and glowing with proper care, well into the future. Dr.Neeharika Goyal, Consultant- Dermatologist, Svastam Wellness, New Delhi, shared simple tips to get glowing skin in your 30s.
- Make skin protection a habit you will not negotiate: Sun damage affects the skin even more than anything else. Use a sunscreen that has SPF protection every day, regardless. This habit alone does more for your fine lines, discoloration, and sagging than anything else.
- Purify gently but thoroughly: The older your skin gets, the drier and more sensitive it may become. Pick a mild, sulfate-free cleanser that will remove dirt, oil, and makeup while leaving your skin hydrated. Wash your face twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, to remove any debris from your pores.
- Add Active Ingredients Strategically: The 30s are also ideal for adding effective ingredients. Retinol is used for collagen production and to combat fine lines, while vitamin C is utilized for brightening and protection. Hyaluronic acid is used to retain water, giving the skin a plumped-up effect. Start with less potent products.
- Missing out on moisturization: Hydrating the skin helps it remain elastic and that ever-healthy glow. Use moisturisers containing Ceramides, Peptides, and Glycerin depending on your skin type. Hydrated skin appears smoother and younger.
- Skin health from the inside: Skin care also means more than just the use of skin care products. It involves enough sleep, healthy eating with high antioxidant content, regular exercise, and staying hydrated. Fewer stresses also contribute to slower skin aging.
- Be consistent and patient: Consistency trumps complexity. Doing the simple routine regularly will always beat the complicated, constantly changing routine. By taking good care of your skin on a regular basis, your 30s’ skin can remain strong, healthy, and resilient
