New Delhi: The IPL 2026 mini-auction is scheduled to take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. A total of 77 slots are available in the auction, including 31 for overseas players. A total of 1355 cricketers registered for the mini-auction, out of which the franchises have shortlisted 359.

Forty players have registered their names at the maximum base price of Rs 2 crore, with only Ravi Bishnoi and Venkatesh Iyer being the only two Indians in that list. A squad can contain only 25 players, with a maximum of eight overseas cricketers, while the minimum squad size is 18. Here is the list of the uncapped players who can become overnight stars in the mini-auction.

Auqib Nabi

Auqib Nabi is a 29-year-old right-arm swing bowler from Jammu & Kashmir. He has emerged as one of India's most consistent fast bowlers in domestic cricket. He has picked up 29 wickets in five matches at an average of 13.27 during the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy. Auqib was the second-leading wicket-taker among all bowlers early in the season.

Tushar Raheja

A wicketkeeper-batter who can hit the ball hard at the top of the order. Tushar has made a name for himself with his consistent performances in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). He has been playing in the league since 2018, but his breakout year came in 2024, when he scored 324 in 9 matches, and made his SMAT debut for Tamil Nadu. Tushar then raised the bar in the next season, smashing 488 runs at a strike rate of 185.55 and an average of 61, including a player of the match performance in the final.

Ashok Sharma

The 23-year-old pacer has been one of the breakthrough fast-bowling stories of the domestic season. The right-arm pacer from Rajasthan has been the highest wicket-taker in the ongoing 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). He has picked up 20 wickets so far in 8 matches, with his best bowling figures of 4/16. He consistently bowled above 140 km/h and has impressed multiple franchises with his wicket-taking ability.

Mangesh Yadav

A 23-year-old left-handed all-rounder, has been creating a lot of buzz. He has picked up 24 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 12 during the Madhya Pradesh Premier League 2025, including three four-wicket hauls. The value of left-arm variation is always high in T20 cricket, and Yadav could find some takers in the auction.

Prashant Veer

Prashant Veer is a promising left-arm spin all-rounder from Uttar Pradesh. He scored 320 runs and picked up 8 wickets in 10 games during this year's UPT20. He struck at 155.34 in the UPT20 and followed that up with 112 runs in five matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at a strike rate of 169.69. Prashant has attended several IPL trials, and many franchises are likely to keep an eye on him in the auction.
