IPL Auction 2026 LIVE Updates: CSK spend big on uncapped Prashant, Kartik; DC bag Auqib Nabi for Rs 8.4 Cr

New Delhi: The IPL 2026 auction is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi. A total of 77 slots are available, including 31 for overseas cricketers. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have 13 places to fill in the team, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with 10. A total of 1355 players registered for the mini-auction, out of which 359 have been shortlisted.

A squad can contain only 25 players, with a maximum of eight overseas cricketers, while the minimum squad size is 18. There is no marquee set as it is a mini-auction. The event will begin with a set of capped batters.

Afghanistan's Wahidullah Zadran, and Shivam Shukla go unsold. Yash Raj joins RR for Rs 30 lakh, and Prashant Solanki sold to KKR for Rs 30 lakh. Vignesh Puthur also joins RR for Rs 30 lakh. Karn Sharma and Kumar Kartikeya Singh remains unsold. We'll have a 45-minute break here before the accelerated round.

Naman Tiwari sold to LSG for Rs 1 Crore. Former MI pacer Akash Madhwal remains unsold. Sushant Mishra goes to RR for Rs 90 lakh.

Ashok Sharma sold to KKR for Rs 90 lakh. Raj Limbani goes unsold for Rs 30 lakh. Kartik Tyagi joins KKR for Rs 30 lakh. Simarjeet Singh remains unsold.

After another bidding war between multiple franchises, uncapped wicketkeeper-batter Kartik Sharma sold to CSK for Rs 14.20 Crore. Mukul Choudhary joins LSG for Rs 2.60 Crore. Tejasvi Singh joins KKR for Rs 3 Crore. Tushar Raheja and Vansh Bedi remain unsold. That concludes the set.

LSG, MI raise the paddle quickly for UP's Prashant Veer. LSG, MI raise the paddle quickly. CSK joins after MI, while RR comes in after LSG. But, the all-rounder sold to CSK for Rs 14.20 Crore. Shivang Kumar goes to SRH for Rs 30 lakh base price. Tanush Kotian (30 L), Kamlesh Nagarkoti (30 L) and Sanvir Singh (30 L) remain unsold.

After a bidding war between multiple franchise, J&K all-rounder Auqib Nabi sold to Delhi Capitals for Rs 8.4 crore. Vijay Shankar (30 L) and RS Hangargekar (40 L) remain unsold.

Uncapped batters Atharva Taide, Anmolpreet Singh, Abhinav Tejrana, Abhinav Manohr, Yash Dhull, and Arya Desai remain unsold. Back in 15 minutes for uncapped all-rounders set.

Chennai Super Kings bag Akeal Hosein for Rs 2 Crore base price. Mujeeb Ur Rahman (Rs 2 Crore) and Maheesh Theekshana (Rs 2 Crore) go unsold.

Rahul Chahar (Rs 1 Crore) goes unsold. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are involved in a battle for Ravi Bishnoi. CSK out, SRH joins the bidding war. He joins RR for Rs 7.2 Crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants are currently involved in an intense bidding war for Sri Lanka's Pathirana. But KKR won the battle for Rs 18 Crore. Australia's Spencer Johnson (Rs 1.5 Crore), Fazalhaq Farooqi (Rs 1 Crore) goes unsold. Anrich Nortje joins LSG for Rs 2 Crore base price.

Matt Henry (Rs 2 Crore), Akash Deep (1 Crore), found no buyers in the auction. New Zealand's Jacob Duffy sold to RCB for Rs 2 Crore base price. Shivam Mavi also goes unsold for Rs 75 lakh.

England's Jonny Bairstow (Rs 1 Cr) and Jamie Smith (Rs 2 Cr) goes unsold in the auction, while Delhi Capitals bag Ben Duckett for Rs 2 Cr base price. New Zealand's Finn Allen joins Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 2 Cr base price. This brings an end to the third set.

KS Bharat goes unsold for Rs 75 lakh base price. Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz also found no buyers for Rs 1.5 Crore.  South Africa's De Kock returns to MI for a base price of Rs 1 crore. 

After an intense bidding battle between RCB and KKR, Venkatesh Iyer sold to RCB for Rs 7 Crore. Rajasthan allrounder Deepak Hooda goes unsold for Rs 75 lakh base price.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga sold to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Rs 2 Crore base price. South Africa's Wiaan Mulder goes unsold for Rs 1 Crore.

England all-rounder Gus Atkinson (Rs 2 crore), and New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra (Rs 2 crore) are unsold in the auction. Liam Livingstone (Rs 2 crore) also goes unsold.

Sarfaraz Khan goes unsold in the auction. He was in sensational form in the SMAT 2025, scoring 329 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 203.08.

The all-rounder comes with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Mumbai Indians open the bidding for the all-rounder. Now, KKR and RR are battling for the Aussie. The bid goes past Rs 20 crore as KKR and CSK go hammer and tongs. KKR bag Cameron Green for Rs 25.20, which the highest-ever for an overseas player at an auction.

Australia's Jake Fraser-McGurk goes unsold in the auction, Delhi Capitals bag David Miller for Rs 2 Crore base price. Devon Conway and Prithvi Shaw also go unsold.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are heading into the mini-auction with the biggest purse, while five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the second-biggest purse.

According to a cricbuzz report, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will be staged from Thursday, March 26 to Sunday, May 31, with the dates emerging from a meeting between franchise officials and IPL authorities in Abu Dhabi on Monday evening.
