New Delhi: The IPL 2026 auction is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi. A total of 77 slots are available, including 31 for overseas cricketers. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have 13 places to fill in the team, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with 10. A total of 1355 players registered for the mini-auction, out of which 359 have been shortlisted.
A squad can contain only 25 players, with a maximum of eight overseas cricketers, while the minimum squad size is 18. There is no marquee set as it is a mini-auction. The event will begin with a set of capped batters.
Afghanistan's Wahidullah Zadran, and Shivam Shukla go unsold. Yash Raj joins RR for Rs 30 lakh, and Prashant Solanki sold to KKR for Rs 30 lakh. Vignesh Puthur also joins RR for Rs 30 lakh. Karn Sharma and Kumar Kartikeya Singh remains unsold. We'll have a 45-minute break here before the accelerated round.

Sarfaraz Khan goes unsold in the auction. He was in sensational form in the SMAT 2025, scoring 329 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 203.08.
The all-rounder comes with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Mumbai Indians open the bidding for the all-rounder. Now, KKR and RR are battling for the Aussie. The bid goes past Rs 20 crore as KKR and CSK go hammer and tongs. KKR bag Cameron Green for Rs 25.20, which the highest-ever for an overseas player at an auction.
