Gill was appointed skipper of the Gujarat Titans in the 2024 season, but the franchise finished in eighth position in the points table under his leadership.
IPL 2023 Purple Cap winner - Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami picked up 28 wickets in 17 matches at an economy of 8.04. His best spell came against Delhi Capitals (DC), where he picked up four wickets and conceded just 11 runs in the 4 overs. The top three bowlers on the list of the Purple Cap of the season were from Gujarat Titans.
Rashid Khan picked up 27 wickets in 17 matches, while Mohit Sharma took 25 wickets in 14 games. Mumbai Indians' Piyush Chawla (22 wickets) and Rajasthan Royals' Yuzvendra Chahal (21 wickets) were the other two bowlers in the top five.
