New Delhi: Shubman Gill has been named the new ODI captain, replacing Rohit Sharma, as India announced squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Australia on Saturday, October 4.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are included in the 16-member ODI squad, marking their international returns after last featuring in the Champions Trophy final in March, while Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the vice-captain of the ODI team.

Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy are missing, while Hardik Pandya (quadriceps) and Rishabh Pant (foot) have not fully recovered from their respective injuries. Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested from the 50-over format.
