The tournament returns to its original format, where six teams (Central, East, West, North, South, and Northeast) will participate in the tournament. The format provides more opportunities for the players from their respective zones, and this is why the BCCI has decided to bring back the zonal format.

The North Zone selectors have also named replacements for Shubman, Arshdeep and Harshit, in case they are selected in the Indian team for any international match or tournament. The Men in Blue will start their training for the Asia Cup 2025 soon.

Shubman is not a regular player with the Indian T20I side, but Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana have regularly featured in the team under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav.

Shubham Rohilla, Gurnoor Brar and Anuj Thakral are the predecided replacements for Shubman Gill, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, respectively.
