Top-ranked Mandhana achieves career-high rating in ICC ODI batting charts; Deepti enters top-5 in bowlers rankings

India all-rounder Deepti Sharma jumped two places to fifth in the ICC Women's ODI rankings for bowlers while Smriti Mandhana continued to stay atop the batters' list with a career-high rating after her sensational display in the recently-concluded series against Australia.

Mandhana scored two magnificent hundreds in the three-match series, won 2-1 by Australia, in the run-up to the upcoming World Cup beginning September 30 in Guwahati. Courtesy of her twin centuries, Mandhana has moved to a career-high rating of 818.

Meanwhile, Deepti's pair of two-wicket hauls against the Aussies helped her rise two spots to fifth with 651 points. India's Kranti Gaud moved up 23 spots to 39th to continue her superb start to her international career.

England's Sophie Ecclestone (795 rating points) is miles ahead at the top of the bowling charts, boasting an 85-point lead as No.1 ODI bowler ahead of the World Cup.

While Mandhana remained the No.1 batter, South Africa's Tazmin Brits made the biggest move in the batting charts. She rose 15 spots to sixth (669 rating points) with successive unbeaten hundreds in the Proteas series win in Lahore.

Brits has enjoyed a prolific campaign, hitting 643 runs at a strike rate of 94.14 and an average of 91.85, in ODIs in the 2025 calendar year.

The Protea batter has witnessed a meteoric rise in the last two years, having been the 73rd-ranked batter in September 2023.

In the all-rounder rankings, South Africa's Marizanne Kapp closed the gap on Ash Gardner, who sits atop the ICC Women's ODI all-rounder rankings, after surpassing Hayley Matthews to go to second (420) with a century and a two-wicket haul in back-to-back games.

Her compatriot Chloe Tryon also made full use of spin-friendly conditions, taking a two-wicket haul in the series.

Australia's Tahlia McGrath also moved up nine spots to 30th courtesy of a decent series with the ball.
