EPL: Manchester United earn draw vs Nottingham Forest, Arsenal extend lead at top
Premier League 2025/26: Arsenal go seven points clear in the table after beating Burnley, while Manchester United and Nottingham Forest shared points after a 2-2 draw.
New Delhi: Manchester United and Nottingham Forest shared points after a 2-2 draw at the City Ground on Saturday, November 1. Arsenal beat Burnley to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table with 25 points.
Brighton and Hove Albion thrashed Leeds United 2-0 at American Express Stadium, and Fulham hammered Wolves 3-0. Crystal Palace beat Brentford 2-0 at Selhurst Park.
Nottingham Forest 2-2 Manchester United
A brilliant strike from Amad Diallo earned Manchester United a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest. Casemiro scored the opening goal of the match with a header in the 34th minute. But the hosts made a stunning comeback at the start of the second half and netted two goals in less than two minutes.
The visitors responded well after conceding the goals, but left frustrated in their efforts to level the scores until Diallo's blistering strike from the edge of the penalty area helped them secure a point.
Diallo almost snatched victory in the added time as the Red Devils missed the chance to go to second place in the points table with a win, while Forest stayed at the 18th spot.
Burnley 0-2 Arsenal
Arsenal stretched their lead to seven points in the Premier League standings with a commanding 2-0 victory against Burnley at Turf Moor. Viktor Gyokeres netted the opening goal in the 14th minute of the match from a corner involving Declan Rice and Gabriel, with the Sweden striker scoring from close range.
Arsenal were in complete control of the match as Declan Rice netted in the 35th minute from open play, thumping a header past Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
The hosts failed to register an attempt on target in the first half, but offered more threat after the break. Arsenal dominated the match and registered their seventh successive clean sheet in all competitions.
The Gunners now have 25 points from 10 matches, and Bournemouth are in second position with 18. Burnley are placed in the 17th spot with 10 points.

Brighton 3-0 Leeds United: Danny Welbeck and Diego Gomez performed brilliantly as Brighton & Hove Albion hammered Leeds United at the Amex Stadium. Welbeck scored the opening goal of the match in the 11th minute, while Gomez netted a brace in the second half to help the hosts secure all three points.
Crystal Palace 2-0 Brentford: Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run at Selhurst Park to 11 games in the Premier League after defeating Brentford. Jean-Philippe Mateta netted the first goal of the match in the 30th minute, and an own goal from Nathan Collins in the second half helped Oliver Glasner’s team to move up to seventh spot in the table.
Fulham 3-0 Wolves: Fulham ended a run of four consecutive losses in the Premier League with a convincing victory against 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers. The visitors remain winless after 10 matches.
