New Delhi: Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount netted in the second half as Manchester United battled back for a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace on Sunday, November 30. The Red Devils ended Palace's nine-month unbeaten Premier League run at Selhurst Park.
The hosts opened the scoring when Jean-Philippe Mateta scored from the penalty spot in the 36th minute of the match after Leny Yoro's poor tackle. The striker had to retake the penalty after a double touch on his first attempt, but he got the better of Senne Lammens again, sending him in the wrong direction.
Zirkzee levelled for the Red Devils in the 54th minute when he chested down a free kick before netting from a tough angle. Mount scored the winner for Ruben Amorim's team just nine minutes later after Bruno Fernandes tapped the ball, and he smashed a low shot from a free kick that found the net.
Manchester United, who won only for the second time in their last 12 away matches, climbed above Palace into sixth in the Points table with 21 points as Oliver Glasner's team dropped to seventh with 20.
Liverpool's record signing Alexander Isak scored his first Premier League goal as the Reds registered much-needed 2-0 win against West Ham United on Sunday. The Sweden striker, who had looked short of form and fitness, missed two opportunities before the break, but scored a goal in the 60th minute after Cody Gakpo pull-back to give the Reds a 1-0 lead.
Paqueta was red-carded in the 83rd minute before Gakpo scored the second goal for the Reds, helping them secure all three points. Liverpool moved to eighth with 21 points from 13 matches in the points table, while West Ham are 17th with 11 points, level with 18th-placed Leeds United.
In other Premier League matches, Boubacar Kamara's long-range stunner secured a narrow 1-0 victory for Aston Villa against Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Stefanos Tzimas netted his first league goal to clinch an impressive 2-0 win for Brighton and Hove Albion over Nottingham Forest.
