New Delhi: Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou has responded to the club's fans’ chants of "You’re getting sacked in the morning" after his winless streak extended on Thursday.

Forest's long-awaited European homecoming ended in disappointment as FC Midtjylland secured a 3-2 victory at the City Ground. The visitors spoiled their celebration, with Forest hosting their first European match in 29 years.

Postecoglou has now lost six matches since taking charge of the club. He has become the first permanent Forest manager in 100 years, who failed to win any of his first six matches. The Australian manager watched his team struggle against Midtjylland's physical approach, with the visitors taking control through first-half goals from Ousmane Diao and Mads Bech.

The Europa League defeat came after Saturday's 1-0 home loss to Sunderland in the Premier League. Postecoglou lifted the Europa League trophy with Spurs, but was dismissed 16 days later, paying the price for a poor campaign in the Premier League.

After the match, Postecoglou responded to the criticism, saying that the fans are entitled to their opinions. The Australian further added that he has heard their opinion.

"Nothing surprises me in football. It's the climate we're in. It seems that's the way things are going. It's nothing I can control. My responsibility is to make sure we get some wins for this football club and progress it," said Postecoglou.

Crystal Palace's unbeaten run extends to record 19 matches

Crystal Palace's unbeaten run continues as the Eagles secured their first European win against Dynamo Kyiv in the Conference League. They are unbeaten in their last 19 matches and are in third position on the Premier League table, boasting an unbeaten record of three victories and three draws this season.

The Eagles last lost a game on 16 April when they were hammered 5-0 by Newcastle United. The Conference League win came after a 2-1 win against defending Premier League champions Liverpool.

"They are so hungry to succeed, and so ambitious, and of course we want to keep them pushing, and it is really easy to keep the focus high. We have huge respect for Dynamo Kyiv, so playing away, starting with a win with three points in the Conference League, is very positive," said Glasner.

He further added that every single competition is the same for them, and they want to continue game by game, and give their best performance in every match. Crystal Palace will take on Everton in their next Premier League match on Sunday, October 5.
