Thomas Frank is off to a perfect Premier League start as Richarlison scored twice to help Spurs beat Burnley. Just six minutes later, Brennan Johnson scored the third goal on the counter-attack after Richarlison won the ball back in midfield as Burnley struggled to deal with the North-London club's press and intensity. Led by new captain Granit Xhaka, Sunderland looked much more organised and dangerous in transition, with Habib Diarra causing lots of trouble to West Ham with his direct play. Just 12 minutes later, Dan Ballard doubled Sunderland's lead. Substitute Wilson Isidor then completed a magnificent day for the Black Cats with a sensational finish in stoppage time.

Brighton 1-1 Fulham

Substitute Rodrigo Muniz struck a dramatic added-time equaliser as Fulham grabbed a 1-1 draw against Brighton. The Brazilian forward netted six minutes after the 90 when the hosts failed to clear Harry Wilson's corner.

Brighton were on their way to start the season with three points after Matt O’Riley converted a 55th-minute penalty following Sander Berge’s foul on Georginio Rutter. Fulham dominated possession after falling behind, but rarely tested Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen before the late drama.
