What was the main reason behind Jadon Sanchos transfer to Aston Villa? Man United loanee reveals
With the Premier League 2025-26 season resuming after an international break, Aston Villa's new signing Jadon Sancho spoke the reason that inspired his move to the club.
New Delhi: Aston Villa signed forward Jadon Sancho on a loan deal from Manchester United. According to reports, Villa will pay a loan fee and cover 80 per cent of his wages during the season-long spell.
Sancho has entered the last year of his contract at Old Trafford, with the club having the option to extend it for a further 12 months. The 25-year-old was signed by the Red Devils for £73m from Borussia Dortmund in the 2021 summer transfer window.
He spent last season on loan at Chelsea, but returned to Manchester United after the Blues agreed to pay a £5m penalty to get out of their obligation to buy the player. The West London club held talks with the forward to negotiate his salary, which could fit their wage structure, but they could not come to an agreement.
