New Delhi: Star Indian boxer Jaismine Lamboria (57kg) delivered a dominating performance to cruise into the final of the World Boxing Cup Finals 2025. The world champion brushed aside former Asian Youth Championships gold medallist, Ulzhan Sarsenbek of Kazakhstan, with a flawless 5:0 win at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. She will face Olympic medallist Wu Shih Yi in a mouth-watering clash on Thursday.
Jaismine will be joined by 10 other Indian boxers who will compete for the top honours on Thursday. Jadumani Singh and Pawan Bartwal also progressed to the finale following unanimous wins over their opponents.
India's ruthless charge to the finals continued through Pawan (55kg) and Jadumani (50kg), who produced outstanding results to carry the host nation's momentum.
Pawan fought back well to rally from a tight opening round against England's Ellis Trowbridge with two brilliant rounds of speed, precision, and counterattacks for a 5:0 win.
Jadumani overpowered Australia's Omer Izaz, a former World Cup medalist, with a relentless display of boxing. He dominated his much taller opponent with sharp hooks and clever footwork.
