New Delhi: Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Kajol starrer Sarzameen’s trailer is finally released by the makers on Friday (July 4). The patriotic drama revolves around a family crisis when the son goes against the father while the mother tries to protect the family. The video shows Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the role of an upright army officer, who admits that he is embarrassed of his son (played by Ibrahim Ali Khan).
But the son doesn’t align with his father’s principles and morals and becomes a terrorist, creating havoc. On the other hand, Prithviraj Sukumaran vows to protect his nation even if he has to go against his son in the need of the hour.
Sarzameen is a tale of duty, identity and emotional conflicts. Prithviraj’s character Vijay Menon is torn between his duty to the nation and love for his son. Kajol plays Meher, a mother trying to mediate things between the father and son, and Ibrahim essays the role of Harman, a vulnerable young man at the crossroads.
Directed by Kayoze Irani and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions, the film is scheduled to release on JioHotstar on July 25, 2025.
