New Delhi: An intern's email to a CEO on their first day caught the attention of many on social media. The incident was revealed by the CEO himself on social media. Here’s what he just sent me," wrote the CEO, along with a screenshot of the mail sent by the intern. The mail read, "Hey, I had a quick idea for the company, sorry if this was already brought up, but have we tried increasing revenue?"

Intern's mail to CEO on first day catches attention online

"The fact that revenues or costs even crossed his mind before working on whatever -ev task he was assigned by management puts him at the 98th percentile of staff in terms of business IQ. Promote him immediately," said one. Another added, "Dumb question, but at least he had the courage to reach out to his boss and give ideas on how to help the company grow. Be appreciative and train him. (instead of calling him out)"

A third individual commented, "Study the life of Robert Pera. He worked in Apple's Wi-Fi division after graduation....He proposed to management that they boost the Wi-Fi signal to improve performance. His managers laughed and denied him. He quit and founded Ubiquiti Networks, which is now worth almost $30 billion."

Some took jibes at the intern and claimed that Patel should think about his revenue by downsizing the company. "Yeah great idea, we probably should start with cutting headcount," wrote one. Another stated, "Keep him on and keep us updated. Send him to AP and get him to submit the request."

Meanwhile, some claimed that the post was fake, trying to evoke reactions from the public regarding a hypothetical scenario.
