Bajaj announces new prices post GST reduction
Bajaj have said that their customers will be availing savings on two-wheelers of Rs 20,000, while the three-wheelers will be down by Rs 24,000 across dealerships in India.
New Delhi: Bajaj Auto, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of two and three wheelers, have announced that they will be passing the complete benefit of the recent GST reductions to the customers of the Bajaj and KTM motorcycle lineup, along with their three-wheeler range.
The new prices are going to be effective from September 22nd 2025, which will allow consumers to have savings on two-wheelers of Rs 20,000, while the three-wheelers will be down by Rs 24,000 across dealerships in India. The move is going to boost affordability to millions of everyday commuters, families and small business owners as well.
Rakesh Sharma, who is Executive Director of Baja Auto Ltd, on the announcement said, "The Government’s decision to reduce GST for most two-wheelers and three-wheelers is a bold step that will unlock demand and strengthen industry growth.” He concluded that the brand would be supporting GST 2.0 and make their vehicles affordable right before the festive season.
From September 22nd 2025, the GST rates on small cars and motorcycles up to 350 cc, three-wheelers, buses, trucks and ambulances will fall from 28 per cent to 18 per cent. Budget-friendly car manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata, have already announced a decent number of relaxations in the prices.
Overall, the auto industry has enjoyed a good price reduction, with the Council introducing an 18 per cent GST on auto parts, simplifying taxation. Even the agriculture sector machinery and vehicles are going down from 12 per cent to five per cent.
