Tata teases Sierra ahead of November 25th launch, goes down memory lane
Tata have given a teaser of the upcoming Sierra ahead of its launch on November 25th, with the new teaser featuring the new and original models. The nameplate Sierra is making a comeback after 22 years.
New Delhi: Tata Motors have dropped a new teaser to unmask the next-generation of the Sierra before the official launch on November 25th. The nameplate is making a comeback 22 years after halting production in 2003 and is going to be placed right above the Curvv in the brand’s portfolio. Tata’s new mid-size SUV is going to offer a range of features and powertrain choices.
The teasers do confirm some of the design elements of the production-spec Sierra, and Tata are bringing quite a few elements from the original model. These include the high-set bonnet, thick B-pillars, plus squared-off front and rear fascias. The back windows, like the original version, appear to be wrapping around the roof, thanks to the partially blacked-out roof.
The new Sierra comes with raised roof rails, full-width LED bars at the front and back, along with two-tone 19-inch alloy wheels. The teaser shows the SUV with silver front and back scruff plates, along with "SIERRA” branding on the front grille, front doors and boot. Like most recent Tata models, it comes with pop-out door handles, black lower-body and a little blacked-out D pillars giving it a ‘floating’ effect.
2025 Tata Sierra interior and features
The teaser does show the Sierra’s premium-looking interior with a two-tone dashboard and steering wheel. The latter is in flat-bottom shape with piano-black trim and possibly could get the illuminated Tata logo. It is becoming clear that the new Sierra will get a big boot space like the original and be a proper five-seater.
The Sierra’s features that are known would include quite an expansive real estate with three screens behind the single curved panel, panoramic sunroof, LED cabin lights, rear-window sunblinds, and even an auto-dimming IRVM add to the cabin’s premium feel. Some other features also include wireless charging, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, powered and ventilated front seats, surround-view cameras, Level 2 ADAS, and six airbags.
2025 Tata Sierra powertrains
Engine options in the Sierra will include three 1.5-litre engines, in petrol and diesel. It will also get manual and automatic transmissions, depending on the engine that is selected. Sierra will also get the EV trim, and though not much is known, it is expected to come with 55 kWh and 65 kWh specs.
