New Delhi: Every year in November, the anxiety of submitting life certificates increases for elderly pensioners. Previously, they had to travel around the bank, government office or pension department. Long lines, problems with documents and travel problems were very tiring for the elderly. But now UIDAI (Aadhaar issuing body) has made this whole process very easy. Now pensioners can prepare a Digital Life Certificate (DLC) sitting in their own home, using only mobile phones.
UIDAI has stated that now pensioners have to get their digital life certificate created with the help of only two mobile apps, AadhaarFacerd app (for face authentication) and JeevanPramaan app (to generate life certificates).
Both apps are easily downloaded on Android mobiles, and the process is so simple that even the elderly can do it on their own or with the help of a household member.
Step 1: Face Authentication
First, the AadhaarFacerd app is downloaded for face authentication. This app verifies your identity by combining your face with the Aadhaar database. This process is completely secure and does not require any kind of OTP or fingerprint.
Step 2: JeevanPramaan App
After completing face authentication, pensioners have to open the JeevanPramaan app. Here some basic information like Aadhaar number, pension type, bank details and mobile number has to be filled. An OTP will come to the same number, after entering which the app will ask permission to scan your face again. Once this process is completed, the app generates a digital life certificate for you.
Pensioners can now create a digital life certificate just by authenticating their face. Fast, convenient and completely digital!

By pressing the submit button, your life certificate is generated and deposited in the government system and you get a copy of it on mobile and email. The whole process is completely paperless, hassle-free, and 100% digital. That means no lines, no forms, no need to go to the bank.
