The police said that these frequent fights happened because the youth's mother owns a buffalo and she often had disagreements with her sister-in-law over cow dung lying around the house. On that fateful day, the argument between the 2 escalated and the DU student intervened.

As matters escalated, the woman called her husband and minor son to the spot. During the scuffle, the youth was brutally stabbed. The police reached the spot after getting information about the incident. They have arrested the DU student's aunt and a 15-year-old boy for the stabbing. Search is on to locate 2 more people, including the victim's uncle who is absconding.

The police reached the crime spot and found the student injured. He was immediately taken to a hospital, but doctors there declared him dead on arrival.

The youth's sister in her statement to the police said, "One man held my brother from behind, while the other stabbed him." She added that her mother was only talking to another neighbour about the waste near the house, when her aunt began to abuse her. My brother came out and took our mother inside the house, the girl said. But when he stepped out again he was stabbed, she cried.

The police are still investigating the matter and hope to catch the 2 absconding criminals soon.
