Gurugram: The city administration has announced several measures to ensure safe New Year and Republic Day celebrations. To ensure public safety during the celebrations, District Magistrate Ajay Kumar has issued directions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS).
The directive stated that all cyber cafés, PGs, guest houses, dharamshalas, hotels, offices, and house owners are directed to maintain a record of all visitors, tenants, workers, and guests in a register. In addition to this, keep a photocopy of their ID proof, and ensure police verification of all tenants, servants, and workers.
Additionally, use of drones, micro light aircraft, gliders, power gliders, hot air balloons, kite flying, and Chinese micro lights is banned in Gurugram from November 11, 2025, to January 31, 2026. Besides this, strict action will be taken against violators under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and other applicable laws.
