Congress fields Naveen Yadav for Jubilee Hills bypoll
The bypoll was necessitated due to the death of MLA Maganti Gopinath in June.
Hyderabad: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved of Naveen Yadav as the party’s official candidate for Jubilee Hills bypoll.
Naveen Yadav contested in Jubilee Hills Assembly election from AIMIM in 2014 and as an independent candidate in 2018. He joined Congress in 2023.
Yadav, who is from the Backward Class (BC) community, was one of the three shortlisted candidates and it was almost a foregone conclusion that a candidate from BC community would be given the ticket.
