Dense fog envelops Hyderabad, flights disrupted
Thick fog has also covered Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway and Hyderabad-Bengaluru highways
Hyderabad: Dense fog has enveloped the city, its outskirts along Rajendranagar, Kismatpur, Shamshabad and stretches of the outer Ring Road (ORR) and many districts of Telangana on Tuesday, January 2.
Thick fog has also covered Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway and Hyderabad-Bengaluru highways. Due to low visibility, four lorries collided on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway, causing a traffic jam. Traffic came to a standstill for approximately 10 km from Shamshabad to Palamakula.

The national highways connecting Hyderabad to Warangal, Warangal to Bhupalpally, Warangal to Eturnagaram, Warangal to Khammam, and Warangal to Karimnagar are completely covered in dense fog. The fog is so thick that even vehicles just 10 meters away are invisible. This is causing severe difficulties for motorists.
Flights disrupted:
The fog also disrupted flights at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), leading to the cancellation of Air India Delhi-Hyderabad flight and delay in Hyderabad-Tirupati flight.

As per India Meteorological Department, misty, hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during night hours. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 18°C and 28°C.
