Hyderabad Police Annual Report: Crime declined by 15 percent in 2025
Crimes against women have increased by 6 percent and crimes against children have gone up by 27 percent.
Hyderabad City Police have revealed in their annual report that the overall crime recorded in the city limits has reduced by 15 percent. About 30,690 cases were reported in 2025 as against 35,944 cases in 2024.
All bodily offences have been down by 16 percent as 7,064 cases were registered in 2025 as opposed to 8,447 cases in 2024.
Grave bodily offences and non-grave bodily offences are down 4 and 17 percent respectively while all property offences also were down. A reduction was seen in murder cases, attempt to murder, simple hurts, kidnapping, culpable homicide, rioting, cheating. Grievous hurts increased by 49 percent.
Crimes against women have increased by 6 percent and crimes against children have gone up by 27 percent. Dowry murders have reduced while cruelty by husbands against women shot up by 31 percent from 813 in 2024 to 1,069 in 2025.
Crimes against SC & ST communities have reduced by 27 percent and cybercrime has gone down by 8 percent.
