Man dies from heart attack at ‘Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu’ screening in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A man died from heart attack during the screening of the newly released Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu’ at a theatre in Hyderabad on Monday, January 12.
The incident occurred at Arjun theatre in Kukatpally on the opening day of the film’s release. The man aged 50, has been identified as Anand Kumar, a retired Assistant Sub-Inspector.
The theatre staff alerted the police after the man collapsed during the screening. Police reached the spot and shifted him to a hospital for medical attention but the doctors declared him dead on arrival, suspecting a cardiac arrest.
Ticket price hike approval by Telangana govt:
On Saturday, Telangana government approved hiking ticket prices for the Chiranjeevi starrer, shortly after they approved it for Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’. The film premiered in theatres on Jnauary 11 at 8 pm at a cost of Rs 600 per ticket, which applies only to theatres in Nizam territory.
From January 12 to 18, single screen theatres have been permitted to hike ticket prices by Rs 50 while multiplexes are allowed to hike ticket prices by Rs 100.
