Telangana Eagle Force arrests two men, woman for smuggling meth, Ganja in Hyderabad

In Hayath Nagar, officials seized 2.6 grams of Methamphitamine and arrested two drug peddlers while a woman smuggling Ganja was arrested in Begumpet.

Hyderabad: Eagle Force (Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement), a specialised anti-narcotics unit in Telangana, with the help of local police arrested two drug peddlers and a supplier in two different operations in Begumpet and Hayath Nagar, seizing narcotics worth Rs 8 lakh.

In Hayath Nagar, officials seized 2.6 grams of Methamphitamine and two drug peddlers were arrested.  The men identified as Bhansilal Pnaware alias Rahul Saini, 21, and Yogesh Rankavath, 25, were arrested for consuming methamphetamine.

Bhansilal, who is from Nagaur district in Rajasthan, has been living in Hyderabad for over a decade and ran a small chaat stall Balaji Chat Bhandar and Yogesh, also from Nagaur, had been working s a helper at the chaat stall.

A third person identified as A Pavan Ode, is absconding and was the person who brought 5 gms of meth to Hyderabad. Out of the five grams, the accused trio consumed 2.4 gms, police said. Efforts are underway to trace the absconding individual.

Woman supplier caught at Begumpet railway station:

In another incident, Eagle Force’s Railway Narcotics Control Cell (RNCC) arrested a woman named Mamata Digal, 37, at Begumpet railway station from Konark Express.

Digal, who is from Phulbani, Odisha, worked as a housemaid in Navi Mumbai and was lured by Mumbai-based drug peddler, Ashok, who promised her quick money. She had reportedly transported Ganja twice from Bhubaneswar twice at his behest.

Officials seized 16 kgs of Ganja in two suitcases from her on Konark Express and handed it over to Nampally Railway police station. Police are on the hunt for Ashok, an absconding interstate supplier
