BJP, Shiv Sena seal 137-90 seat sharing pact for Mumbai civic body polls
Mumbai BJP president Amit Satam announced the seat-sharing formula finalised between the two allies on Monday, a day before the deadline for filing nomination papers closes on December 30.
New Delhi: The ruling allies BJP and Shiv Sena-led by Eknath Shinde have announced their seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Mumbai civic polls. As per the pact, the BJP will contest 137 seats while Shinde's Shiv Sena will fight on 90 seats.

The BJP leader said that the two parties will allocate some seats from the quotas to the alliance partners. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar-led NCP, which is one of the constituents of the ruling Mahayuti government, is contesting the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls separately.
The high-stakes local polls in Maharashtra will be held across 29 municipal corporations in the state on January 15. Counting of votes will be held the next day.
