New Delhi: In a shocking incident reported from Maharashtra, the wife of Pankaja Munde's personal assisstant, Anant Garje reportedly died by suicide. Pankaja is currently the Minister of Environment in the Maharashtra government. The incident took place in the Worli Police Station limits and investigations have started in the matter.
The police identified the victim as Dr Gauri Anant Garje. She was found hanging at her home in the Worli area on Saturday.
Her family has alleged that Gauri died because Anant Garje was in an affair with some other women. They claimedthat she was mentally disturbed due to this illicit affair of her husband and therefore died by suicide.
The family members of the woman have recorded their statements with the police. The police meanwhile has lodged an accidental death report and have started an investigation.
According to a report in NDTV, Pallavi was a doctor at the civic-run KEM Hospital. She married Garje in February this year. Her family also alleged that she was being harassed by her husband. Police are hoping to get to the bottom of these allegations and how true they are soon.
