New Delhi: In a shocking case reported from Mumbai's Vakola area, a woman allegedly attacked her lover when he came to her house to celebrate New Year. The 25-year-old allegedly slashed the private parts of the man. The woman is a mother of 2 and is currently absconding, said the Vakola police.
According to the Vakola Police the 25-year-old woman lived in Santacruz and had invited the man to celebrate New Year's eve with her. After partying the whole night, the woman reportedly asked her lover to marry her. When he refused, the angry woman attacked him with a sharp object.
The woman is married and has 2 children. She reportedly attacked her 42-year-old lover in the same room where her young children were sleeping. The man is reportedly the brother of the accused's sister-in-law. Both of them have been in an extramarital affair for 7 years now, said officials investigating the matter.
The woman's children are aged 4 and 7 years respectively. She is currently on the run and police have launched a massive manhunt to nab her at the earliest.
Recounting the series of events, the victim said that he was invited by the victim to her house for "having New Year's sweets". He reportedly reached her place at around 1:30 am. When he tried to leave after spending time with her, she asked him to marry her. When he refused, the woman attacked him with a sharp object and cut his private parts. The man was left profusely bleeding.
He managed to escape from the house and called up his son and brother. They rushed to the spot and moved him to VN Desai Hospital. He was later referred to Sion Hospital, where he was immediately taken for surgery.
The man said that his wife came to know about his affair with the woman and started quarreling with him. Following the protests from his wife, the man tried "to make the woman understand" that they should end their relationship. He tried to reason with her, saying that both of them had families. The woman however refused to pay heed to any of his advice and suggestions and continued to demand that he leave his wife and marry her.
The woman hails from Bihar and is currently absconding. The Mumbai Police might send a team to the state to help track down the accused. As of now, the man remains in a critical condition in hospital and police are making all efforts to nab the woman.
