AFCAT 1 registration 2026 date extended; apply by December 19

The AFCAT 1 exam 2026 is scheduled to be held on January 31. Candidates can download the AFCAT 1 admit card 2026 from January 22 onwards.

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force has extended the IAF Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1 registration 2026 last date to December 19. Those who have not yet applied for AFCAT 1 exam 2026 can fill out the form through the official website, afcat.cdac.in. The AFCAT 2026 a total of 340 vacancies will be filled.

Candidates need to have the Class 10 and 12 marksheet and certificates and other necessary details, a valid email ID, a valid mobile number, and Aadhaar card details ready before applying. The AFCAT 1 application fee is Rs 550 plus applicable GST. Candidates applying for AFCAT can select up to 5 exam cities in order of preference from the list of AFCAT exam centres.

AFCAT 1 eligibility criteria 2026

Candidates who fulfil the below eligibility criteria can apply and appear for the AFCAT 1 2026 exam-

  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): A minimum of 60 per cent in physics and mathematics and a minimum of a 4-year graduation degree or an integrated post-graduation qualification in engineering or technology from a recognised university.
  • Flying Branch: At least a 3-year graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60 per cent marks and must have studied maths and physics at the Class 12 or hold a BE or BTech degree from a recognised university with 60 per cent minimum marks.
  • Technical Branch: 4-year degree qualification or have cleared sections A and B of the associate membership exam of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India with at least 60 per cent marks.
  • The age of the candidates applying to the Flying Branch is between 20 to 24 years, while for Ground Duty candidates needs to be between 20 to 26 years.
