New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has successfully conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam 2025 today, November 30. It has conducted the IIM CAT 2025 slot 1 exam from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, slot 2 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and slot 3 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

CAT exam analysis 2025

The CAT is a national-level management entrance exam conducted in online mode for admission to management institutes. The exam consists of three sections - Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). The duration of each section is 40 minutes.

Candidates who had appeared for the online written exam held on November 30 said that the VARC and DILR sections are moderate. The Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section is the most time-consuming and tricky.

CAT marking scheme

Candidates must note that a total of three marks will be awarded for each correct answer for the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Type in the Answer (TITA). For every wrong attempt, one mark will be deducted in MCQs. There is no negative marking for TITA.
