CBSE Central Sector Scholarship 2025 application underway; apply by October 31

The CBSE CSSS scholarship 2025 application link is available on the official portal, scholarships.gov.in. Candidates need apply within the given timeline, get the applications verified and also show the original documents to institute.

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) 2025 registration for renewal for the years 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. For the scholarship both fresh and renewal application can be submitted till October 31. The CBSE CSSS scholarship 2025 application link is available on the official portal, scholarships.gov.in. 

Candidates must fill the form and veriry it by the institutions within the given timeline. Appllications submitted after the given last date  will not be accepted.

The CBSE's official notice reads, 'Online application for Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students for the year 2025-26, 1st Renewal for the year 2024, 2nd renewal for the year 2023, 3rd Renewal for the year 2022 and 4th Renewal for the year 2021 is available on National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in). Students may visit the National Scholarship Portal to apply for fresh & renewal of scholarship.'

'All the candidates are advised to apply online within the stipulated time and get their online applications verified by the institutions (if required show the original documents to institute) else the application would be treated as INVALID', the notice further added.

CBSE CSSS Scholarship Eligibility

As per the CBSE CSSS scholarship eligibility criteria-

  • Students need to score a minimum of 80 percentile in the Class 12 board exam
  • A regular degree courses is mandatory for applicants to pursue.
  • The family income must not exceeding 4,50,000 per annum.

What is CBSE CSSS Scheme?

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India funds the CBSE CSSS scheme. This scholarship scheme supports meritorious students from economically weaker section to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants can avail the scholarship for a maximum of five consecutive years.
