New Delhi: As the Central Board of Secondary Education is all set to conduct the CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2026 between February 17 to March 9. The CBSE 10th English exam is scheduled to be held on February 21 in a single shift. It will start at 10:30 AM and conclude by 01:30 PM.

The question paper is divided into four sections - A, B, C and D.
Section A Reading Skills- 22 marks
Section C Grammar- 10 marks
Section D Literature Textbook- 26 marks
. There are 10 questions in the question paper. All questions are compulsory.
. Answers should be brief and to the point.
. Students can attempt any section at a time.
. All questions of that particular section must be attempted in the correct order.
. The instructions are given with each section and question, wherever necessary.
As per the teachers, the question paper last year was balanced and moderately easy, aligning closely with the CBSE sample papers. Experts advise students to analyse previous year papers to identify recurring question patterns and writing formats. Practising with these papers helps students develop familiarity with exam language and improve speed and accuracy. Regular practice with previous year papers remains one of the most effective ways for students to build confidence and perform well in the upcoming exams.
