CBSE launches career guidance dashboard and counselling hub; heres why

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched two flagship initiatives for the academic session 2025-26. The Career Guidance Dashboard and the Counselling Hub were launched with an aim to promote psychological well-being and strengthen career guidance among students in schools. 

While launching both the initiatives, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh said, "Initiatives designed to benefit schools and students and will continue to evolve through active input from stakeholders." The expert teams have also presented a detailed walkthrough of both the initiatives besides highlighting features and facilities available to students and teachers.

Students and parents can access the CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard at https://cbsecareerguidance.in/. One can witness a rich repository of tools and resources to support informed career exploration and decision-making. Parents and students can check career information aligned with the national and global level, besides easy access to guidance resources and planning tools. 

CBSE Counselling Hub & Spoke School Model

This initiative was launched with an aim to reinforce mental health support systems by establishing a collaborative network of mentor hub schools and spoke schools. This will not just help in fostering peer learning but also capacity building, besides sharing the best practices in student wellness.

The official notice reads, "Anchored in the vision of NEP 2020, these initiatives aim to enhance the quality and accessibility of both career guidance and psychosocial support. They also focus on building institutional capacities among educators, counsellors, and wellness teachers.

In the notification, CBSE has asked all the schools to actively implement CBSE Counselling Hub & Spoke School Model and utilise the career guidance resource for improving well-rounded, future-ready learners through sustained guidance and emotional support.
