Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme 2025: IIM Bodh Gaya invites applications; check eligibility, selection process
IIM Bodh Gaya, in partnership with the Government of Bihar, has launched the Chief Minister's Fellowship Scheme to offer young professionals hands-on governance experience. The two-year programme provides policy exposure, structured training, mentorship, competitive honorarium and a postgraduate certificate in public policy and good governance.
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya in collaboration with the Government of Bihar has announced the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme (CMFS). The scheme aims to provide young and talented professionals from Bihar an opportunity to work closely with the state government on key governance and development initiatives.
Applications for the fellowship are now open and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of IIM Bodh Gaya. This two-year programme is designed to offer hands-on experience in public policy, programme implementation and administrative reforms while also providing structured academic learning under the guidance of IIM Bodh Gaya faculty.
The fellowship offers a monthly honorarium based on the level of posting and experience. Fellows may receive between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1.50 lakh per month. Reservations will be applicable as per state government rules. The programme also includes structured training and continuous mentorship by IIM Bodh Gaya.
About the fellowship programme
Under the two-year CMFS programme, selected fellows will undergo management education programme in both on-campus and off-campus modes. Fellows will work in various government departments and offices, contributing to policy formulation, governance reforms and development projects across Bihar.
At the end of the programme, fellows will receive a postgraduate certificate in Public Policy and Good Governance from IIM Bodh Gaya along with a work experience certificate from the Government of Bihar.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must be domiciled of Bihar.
- A postgraduate degree from a recognised institution in fields such as Management, Policy, Development, Public Administration, Regional Planning or Science and Technology and allied areas is required.
- Candidates must have valid CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, UGC-NET or CSIR-NET scores.
- However, students with master’s degrees from Institutions of National Importance (INI), Central Universities and National Law Universities (NLUs) are exempted from submitting these test scores.
