New Delhi: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has started accepting the online registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 today, August 1. The onIine registration window for the CLAT 2026 opened for the Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) law programmes.
Interested and eligible candidates who seek admission to UG and PG courses at 25 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) can submit their application forms till October 31, 2025. The Consortium has also announced that the CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. One should note that the registration forms will be accepted only through the official portal at consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 3: Fill in the CLAT application form with all details including PG and UG
Step 4: Pay the CLAT registration fee
Step 5: Scan and upload the required documents
Step 6: Submit the registration form
Step 7: Download and keep the hard copy of registration form for future need
Candidates are advised to refer to the CLAT 2026 notification before kick-starting the registration process. One should note that Class 12 with 45 per cent marks is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for CLAT UG exam. While a LLB degree with at least 45 per cent marks is required for CLAT PG entrance exam.
