GATE 2026 Admit Card: MTech exam schedule released; check hall ticket date

The GATE 2026 exam for admission to MTech, MS and PhD programmes will be held in two shifts. The GATE admit card will be issued in due course of time.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has announced the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 schedule. As per the GATE exam date, the entrance test for admission to Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes on February 7,8,14 and 15, 2026.

As per the GATE paper pattern, the exam will be in two shifts. Shift 1 is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and shift 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

GATE 2026 admit card

The GATE 2026 admit card will be issued in due course of time. The GATE 2026 exam hall ticket will be available for download on the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The login details which include the enrolment ID and password will be required to access the admit card.

The details that will be mentioned in the GATE 2026 admit card include the name of the candidate, enrollment ID, exam centre address, exam date, exam time, exam paper code, category and other necessary information.

The GATE exam is held for admission to MTech, MS, and PhD programmes at IITs, National Institute of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). GATE score remains valid for a period of 3 years from the date of result declaration. The scores of the entrance test are also used for recruitment by the Pubic Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
