IIT JAM 2026 registration begins today; apply by October 12

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will start the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 registration process today, September 5. Candidates need to fill in the JAM 2026 application form by October 12. The application link is avaliable on the official website, jam2026.iitb.ac.in. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 26.
Candidates first need to register on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) 2026. The name, a valid email address, mobile number, and password will be required to complete the registration. Once the registration is done, the generated enrollment ID and OTP will be send to the candidate, after which one can proceed to fill the JAM 2026 application form.
The IIT JAM application fee for female candidates and those who belong to Schedule Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories is Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,350 for two papers. For others the application fee is Rs 2,000 for single paper and Rs 2,700 for two papers.
If there are any discrepancies in the details regarding the category, gender, exam city or date of birth in the application, candidates can make the necessary changes with an additional fee of Rs 300. To add an additional test paper or change the selected one, candidates will have to submitted the application form with an extra fee of Rs 300 by November 10.
The below mandatory documents are required for candidates to have at the time of the application process-
- Scanned copy of Class 10 marksheet with date of birth
- Candidate’s photograph and signature of high quality
- Personal information of the candidate
- Complete address
- Details of eligibility degree
- Name and address with PIN code of the college
- Choice of JAM papers
- Choice of exam city
- Scanned copy of category certificate
- Scanned copy of physical disability certificate (if any)
- Any valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar card, driving license, PAN card, passport or voter ID).
