IIT Mandi convocation to be held on November 13; 602 students to receive degrees

IIT Mandi 13th Convocation will be held on November 13 to celebrate a total of 602 graduating students from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Prof Shekhar C Mande will be the chief guest.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has announced its 13th Convocation ceremony date. The official sources confirm that the IIT Mandi 13th Convocation will be held on November 13, 2025. The institute has announced that the convocation ceremony will witness the achievements of 602 graduating students across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.

This year, the IIT Mandi convocation chief guest will be Prof Shekhar C Mande, Former Director General, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The event will also be graced by various distinguished guests, Dr Jagannath Nayak, Director, Centre for High Energy Systems and Sciences (CHESS), DRDO, and Prof Budaraju Srinivasa Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad. Lt Gen (Retd) Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Mandi, will also participate in the ceremony.

602 students to receive degrees

A total of 602 students will receive degrees during the convocation ceremony, including 292 undergraduates, 241 postgraduates, and 69 PhD scholars. The institute will also present several medals and awards to recognise outstanding achievements. Interestingly, this is going to be the first convocation ceremony for three programs such as BTech-MTech Dual Degree, BTech with Second Major, and BTech with Specialisation.

It is a celebration of the dedication, perseverance, and intellectual growth of our students. Each graduating student represents the spirit of innovation and excellence that IIT Mandi stands for.
