IPMAT 2026 schedule announced; exam on May 4
Candidates who qualify the entrance exam need to appear for a video assessment round and upload a self-recorded video. The next round of the selection process is the personal interview.
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has announced the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) 2025 schedule. IIM Indore is set to hold the IPMAT 2026 exam on May 4. Once the IPMAT 2025 application link is active, eligible candidates will be able to register and apply through the official website, iimidr.ac.in.
After the IPMAT result, those who qualify the entrance exam need to appear for a video assessment round and upload a self-recorded video within the given timeline. A set of questions to record videos will be provided to the candidates and those who fail to do so will be disqualified from further rounds of the selection process.
The next round of the selection process is the personal interview (PI). A category-wise merit list will be generated, then based on the composite score (CS) and accordingly admission offers will be made.
To apply for IPMAT 2026 one needs to meet the below requirements-
The minimum passing marks in 12th for the general category candidates is 60 per cent and 55 per cent for other categories.
The general category candidates must be born after August 1, 2005 and other category candidates on or after August 1, 2000.
The IPMAT 2026 exam will be conducted online in the afternoon shift. The exam will be for a duration of 120 minutes. The paper will comprise three sections- quantitative ability which will have multiple choice questions, quantitative ability (short answer questions) and verbal ability (multiple choice questions).
The quantitative ability (MCQs) section will include 25 questions, while the quantitative ability (short answer) section will also consist of 25 questions that require detailed responses. The verbal ability section will have 50 multiple-choice questions.
As per the IPMAT 2026 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer. For the incorrect response, one mark will be deducted. The paper will comprise 400 marks.
IPMAT is held for admission to the 5-year integrated programme in management offered by IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIFT Delhi and other management institutes across the country.
