JEE Main 2026 session 2 dates revised; exams from April 2

The JEE Main 2026 result January session will be announced on February 12 and session 2 result on April 20. The registration process for the JEE Main January exams has started. The April session application process will begin in the last week of January.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 session 2 exam dates. As per the JEE Main session 2 revised schedule, the April exams will be conducted from April 2 to April 9. Earlier, the JEE 2026 session 2 exam was set to be held from April 1 to April 10. The new dates have been announced through the recently published JEE Main 2026 information brochure.

The JEE Main 2026 result January session will be announced on February 12 and session 2 result on April 20. The JEE Main January exams registration process has started. The April session application process will begin in the last week of January.

The first advisory on the JEE Main exam 2026 was published on September 29, according to which aspirants were asked to update the Aadhaar card, Unique DIsability ID (UDID) card and category certificates before filling out the application form for smoother authentication of identity and to reduce malpractice. The NTA then announced the JEE Main exam dates 2026 session 1 and session 2 on October 19, 2026.

Last year, the JEE Main session 1 exam was held from January 22 to January 30, and the session 2 exam from April 2 to April 8. In the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam, a total of 13,11,544 students registered, out of which 12,58,136 appeared for the exam. For session 2, 10,61,840 candidates registered and 9,92,350 attempted the paper.

The JEE Mains score is accepted for admission to engineering and architecture programmes. Based on the JEE Mains ranks, candidates can take admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTI).
