KMAT 2026 session 1 registration begins; apply by January 15

The KMAT 2026 session 1 exam is scheduled to be held on January 1. The KMAT selection process include the exam, group discussion or personal interview round and document verification.

New Delhi: The Commissioner for Entrance Exam (CEE) Kerala has started the Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2026 session 1 registration process. Interested and eligible candidates need to apply for KMAT 2026 session 1 through the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in/kmatonline2026. The last date to fill the form is January 15, 2026.

The KMAT 2026 application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 1,000. The Schedule Caste (SC) category candidates need to pay Rs 500 as the application fee.

KMAT session 1 exam date

CEE is set to conduct the KMAT 2026 session 1 exam on January 1. As per the KMAT 2026 exam pattern, the paper will be divided into four sections which include English language usage and reading comprehension, quantitative ability, data sufficiency and logical reasoning and general knowledge and current affairs.

For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded and one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

To pass the KMAT exam, the general and Socially and Economically Backward Class (SEBC) category candidates need to secure 72 marks and above to qualified for admission. For other category candidates, the qualifying cut-off marks is 54 and above.

KMAT eligibility criteria 2026

To fill the application form, candidates need to fulfil the below KMAT eligibility criteria 2026-

  • Candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years in the field of arts, science, engineering, commerce, management or equivalent to be eligible.
  • Those who are appearing for the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply.
  • There is no age criteria to apply for the KMAT exam.
  • Both Indians and non Indians are eligible to apply.
  • For reservation or fee concession only Keralite candidates are eligible.

The participating institute will release an individual cutoff and the shortlisted candidates' list. A final merit list will be prepared which will have the names of the candidates who have made it to the cutoff. The next round is the Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI) round. Candidates need to visit the counselling centre to appear for the GD or PI.

Based on the KMAT 2025 score and GD or PI scores a final merit list of the selected candidates will be made who will be called for the document verification.
