New Delhi: The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday released the draft voter list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Madhya Pradesh, showing that 42.74 lakh names have been deleted from the state's electoral roll. Of these, 19.19 lakh were men and 23.64 lakh women, while an additional 8.40 lakh names were found to be unmapped.
More than 27 lakh voter names have also been removed during the SIR process in Chhattisgarh.
In view of the large-scale deletions, the EC has urged voters to verify their details in the draft roll to ensure that eligible names are not left out before the final list is published.
Step 1: Visit the ECI website
Go to the voters' service portal: https://voters.eci.gov.in/download-eroll and select Madhya Pradesh from the state list.
Step 2: Choose your district and constituency. The page will display a table of all districts in Madhya Pradesh. Click on your district. A list of assembly constituencies under that district will appear. Click on your constituency to open a Google Drive folder containing booth-wise voter lists in PDF format.
Step 3: Open the booth-level PDF
The folder contains multiple PDFs labelled by polling booth number, village, or area name. Open the PDF corresponding to your polling booth and search for your name. Your polling booth number is mentioned on the SIR form issued earlier. If unavailable, contact your Booth Level Officer (BLO).
